Terms of Service & Use

In general for my Terms of Service, Terms of Use, my art and designs; use your common sense. Ask questions if you're not sure about something, I'm happy to answer any of them!

By commissioning me, buying from me, or trading with me, you automatically agree to these terms.

You are free to reference my TOS to write your own!

Section 1.1 Illustration Experience

  • I may decline characters made or owned by people that i have blocked.

  • ​You can always check with me beforehand if i will draw something.

  • I'm free to make exceptions to the chart below. It is simply a guideline for commissioners to check if i'm the artist they should commission for art of their character.

  • I may decline characters from CS made or owned by people that i have blocked.

  • I'm free to make exceptions to the chart below. It is simply a guideline for commissioners to check if i'm the artist they should commission for a custom character.

Section 2. Commissions Process

2.1 Important Notice

  1. By sending payment the client automatically agress with the Terms of Service and Terms of Use.

  2. You must have pre-existing reference sheet or a flat colored fullbody (unshaded) of your character already finished before you commission me. (This excludes design commissions).

  3. Please provide a high quality reference/fullbody with easy to pick colors.

  4. I will refuse low resolution images or unfinished designs (excl. design commissions).

2.2 Deadlines

  1. Extra fees will be added to commissions with requested short deadlines. Price will vary per commission type and deadline date.

  2. Deadlines under 4 weeks for custom designs, scenes, or other large pieces will be refused.​

2.3 Turnaround Time

  1. I try to keep turnaround time fast (2 weeks), but it may take up to 1-3 months. I have a job besides art, and several health issues along with that, which can all slow down my workflow. I typically don't work on commissions during my work days.

  2. I will try my best to keep the commissioner in the loop of any delays or other things that may influence the turnaround time.

  3. I usually work on smaller commissions and personal work between bigger ones, to keep myself from burning out.

2.4 WIPS & Updates

  1. I will send a first sketch for approval, and will not continue working on it until after you have responded with fixes or approval. This applies to the entire commission progress.

  2. I may send multiple concepts for a commission, concept sketches that don't end up being used are not to be used, uploaded, or otherwise taken for your personal use. You can get them for an additional fee.

  3. Please don't ask for updates every other day, i have a job besides art, and i typically don't draw during the days that i work.

  4. Updates on a commission will typically be given when big progress has been made, any mistakes/requests have been fixed/added, or when i have questions.

  5. Typically I will provide a sketch, flat color, basic shading, and background stages (if applicable).

Section 3. Payment

3.1 Making Payments

  1. All payments must be made up front and in full before i start on your commission.

  2. I don't typically do payment plans (never have as of Feb 8th 2025), but i am open to discuss this.

  3. Payment, as of Feb 8th 2025, is done through any of the payment methods that Ko-fi allows.

  4. I do not take DA points, Amino points, Crypto, or any other virtual currency, unless stated otherwise on an ad.

  5. My prices are in Euros (€)

3.2 Edits

  1. For artwork : during the sketch phase any edits are free. Then again during coloring, any mistakes i make i will correct for free, granted they are minor edits.

  2. For custom designs : during the sketch phase all edits are free. Then again during the design/coloring phase, all edits to the coloring are free, granted they are minor edits.

  3. Any excessive requests for edits after linework or coloring may result in additional fees. Price will depends on how big the edit is, how far along the commission is, and how much the original commission price was.

  4. I will refuse a complete 100% redo after the sketch has been approved. For illustrations; if the commission was delayed on my end and the character's design has changed in the meantime, i'm willing to discuss options.

3.3 Cancellation & Refunds

  1. I reserve the right to cancel and refund your commission at any time, for any reason. Reason to cancellation may include but is not limited to: poor communication, rude behavior, personal life/health issues, ect.

  2. The commissioner has the right to ask for a refund at any time. Refunds will be given based on completion of work, and files of the incomplete image will be send.

  • Refund percentages for scene commissions will be based off of percentage of work done, as their progress stages differ from standard illustration commissions. ​

  • Small commissions like Itty Bittys, or surprise commissions are non-refundable.

  • Refund percentages for complex custom designs may differ depending on percentage of work done, as their progress stages differ from standard custom designs.

Section 4. Copyright

4.1 Usage Rights

  1. The commissioned item is personal/non-profit use only, and is not for commercial use unless we've agreed upon otherwise. 

  2. The client is not permitted to sell products with the commissioned piece. This also goes for any art obtained from me through any sort of trade.

  3. Client can use the commissioned piece for personal use, for example as a profile picture, banner, background, or print it out on shirts, bags, or stickers for personal use.

  4. Client can not make any direct edits to any commissioned illustration or custom design. You cannot draw over my art, or edit the colors. If you wish a piece to be edited you can contact me, and if I still have the psd file i can make edits for an additional fee.

4.2 Intellectual Property

  1. The art and designs I create are still within my ownership, and as such i should be credited properly when uploading said art or designs elsewhere. If uploaded to Toyhou.se, BlueSky, Vgen, Twitter (X), Instagram, please credit me there @ Astronnut. 

  2. I reserve the right to use your commission for commission examples and portfolio work, as well as sharing it to my social media sites. If you do not want your commission shared publicly, please let me know in advance.

4.3 Commercial Use Details

  1. Commercial use fees can de added on, allowing you to use your commissioned piece however you like.

  2. Fees are a flat rate of +50% the price of the commission, for indefinite use involving a sole proprietorship.

  3. For corporations: please email me and we can discuss pricing. Pricing will be determined based off of usage, and may be a royalty fee instead of flat rate for merchandise or prints of the artwork.

  4. Fees do not apply to pre-made designs (such as adopts). Adopts are already licensed for commercial use

Commercial Use Includes :

  1. Selling any physical items, video game assets, using the art in promotions, YouTube videos, and streaming.

  2. Under no circ umstance will the client ever be allowed to use the art of characters for AI image generation or NFTs, whether selling as one-off or making sets using the art as a base. Ignoring this Copyright TOS will result in immediate and permanent blacklist, and DMCA take down being filed.

Users listed here are blacklisted/blocked for a variety of reasons. Species listed here are either connected to a user on the list, or are entirely seperate.

Do not harass these users. I don't feel comfortable interacting with these users, and will refuse to draw their characters, or draw for anyone associated with them.
